Whether you’re an experienced farmer, a local looking to connect with your food system, or someone passionate about sustainable agriculture, we want to hear from you.  At Mountain Bird, we’re looking for a few seasonal part-time positions for the 2025 season.

Farm Hand

This all encompassing position will have you learning most everything on our farm: daily bird tending, butchering, goat milking, cheese making, gardening, tractor driving, farmer’s markets, minor plumbing and electrical, and more. Position is 25-35 hours per week, 4 days per week, May-October.

Butcher Hand

This position will cover our whole operation on the butcher floor: killing, scalding, plucking, evisceration, carcass parting, and packaging. Cross training on all positions in order to “float” between jobs and help where needed. Prior butcher experience preferred. Position is 15-25 hours, Mondays and Thursdays from 7AM – 4PM, May-October.

Quality Control Tech

We are looking for help on the butcher floor with rinsing and packaging birds. This job is fairly clean, conducted  in a fast paced and team environment. Job mainly involved cleaning, rinsing, and packaging birds. Cross training available with experience and interest.  Position is on Mondays and Thursdays from 7AM – 1PM, May-October

All positions come with results based pay, cross training if desired, free chicken, monthly crew lunch, and season-end bonus for season completion. If you have interest in any position, contact us.
